F-tone Networks的GEFE小型可插拔（SFP）光模塊與小型可插拔多源協(xié)議（MSA）兼容，專為SGMII MAC接口到100BASE-FX而設(shè)計（SGMII MACInterface實現(xiàn)了修改后的1000BASE-LX自動協(xié)商，以指示到MAC的鏈路、雙工和速度）。光模塊由四個部分組成：帶DDM的標準SFP部分、帶SGMII接口的PHY部分、1310nm FP激光器和PIN光電探測器。模塊數(shù)據(jù)鏈路長達10km，采用9/125um多模光纖。
